Now that you know that a medical transcriptionist simply transcribes an audio file sent by a health worker, it is about time that you know what the usual contents of these recordings.

The recording covers a wide variety of medical areas like exam reports, autopsies, patient histories, consultations and discharges. After the whole audio is transcribed, the final output will now be sent to the editor to double check everything and fix the necessary adjustments. The editor will now send it back to the health professional and they will be in-charge of reviewing the whole document, signing it and do some corrections. The transcribed document will now be a part of the patient/hospital’s medical record.
